Read This Amazing Letter Addressed To Parents Wanting to Sue Ex-NFL Player After Their Kids Wrecked His House (Video)
It's a sad state of affairs when instead of wanting to teach their kids who trashed an ex-NFL player's house about responsibility and accountability, parents would rather sue the ex-NFL player for outing their kids and supposedly "ruining their lives". What kind of parenting is that? These parents are to stupid to ralize that their kids broke the law. They should be happy he did not have them arrested and hauled off to jail. and lets not forget the kids outed themselves when they posted the pictures online.
From the article,
"Holloway got wind of all this while it was happening thanks to Twitter, and decided to do something about it. What horrible thing did he do? He started a Facebook page called “Help Me Save 300“ in order to identify the revelers and hold them accountable for their actions. He invited them over to his trashed house for a picnic, and to help clean up the mess. Holloway doesn’t want to punish the kids other than having them help clean up his place, he merely wants to teach them a lesson about accountability and responsibility.

Sounds perfectly noble, right?
Well, in a classic example of irresponsible parents raising bratty, self-important kids, some of the parents are threatening to sue Holloway for outing them and “ruining their kid’s lives”. How exactly does that teach their children a lesson? Those kids broke several laws that night – burglary, vandalism, trespassing, larceny, underage possession of alcohol, etc. – and these parents think the best way to handle it is to sue Holloway for outing their criminal children?"

In Barrow, Alaska, climate change in action
Here is the article we mentioned on the show last night bout climate change.
From the article, "Climate change seems a remote thing to many people, something they think about occasionally, if at all. Their day-to-day weather mostly varies as it has in the past, and they have a good idea of what the seasons will bring. However, for the people who live around the shores of the Arctic Ocean, climate change is plain to see. The dramatic decline of summer and autumn sea ice during the past decade is having profound and sustained impacts on Northern weather and climate. In Alaska, nowhere is this more evident than at Barrow."

How a believer and a non believer can see the same thing two different ways.
Posted by Zman
I find it interesting how those of us who do not believe in a higher being and those who do can see the same event two different ways. Nothing wrong with that for the most part but it is interesting. A good example, on Memorial Day weekend back in May Jenn and I were visiting family grave sites with my family who are religious. We were at my uncle's grave. He passes away just over nine years ago and he loved going to Wisconsin as we all do in my family. My mom related a story about just after he passed away and was buried she and my aunt were visiting his grave near sundown and a deer walked to the edge of the wooded area next to the cemetery, looked right at them and slowly walked away. My mom took that a a "spiritual sign." Nothing wrong with that of course. Does not do anyone any harm as in that case religion is not being used to discriminate. Now me being an Atheist and a skeptic just saw that as something that a deer would do. You have a wooded area where deer hang out next to a cemetery where people go. Deer are probably used to seeing people and will probably stand and watch for a few minutes and slowly walk away especially near sundown when deer tend to venture out of the woods. But people like to make connections where none exist. It's a coping mechanism. Nothing wrong with that in most cases. If someone gets meaning out of something like that and helps them cope with the loss of a loved one no harm to anyone. I just find it interesting that people find spiritual meaning in things that happen naturally and how a believer interprets things that can be easily explained.

Teen ‘Exorcists’ Claim Harry Potter Books Allow Demons To Possess Readers
There are still nuts out there trying to claim that Harry Potter books are leading children to witchcraft and the spells in the books are real. Of course they have no facts to back up their false claims but then again, when have these self-righteous charlatans ever let facts get in the way. It is also sad that this father has brain washed his daughters.
From the article.
"It’s not bad enough that these sort of charlatans take advantage of superstitious Americans, now they have to go embarrass us in other countries? Here we have an example of the worst of America – self-righteousness coupled with arrogance, the very basis of the “ugly American” stereotype – being foisted upon the hapless citizens of London. These three aren’t physically ugly but their message is decidedly unlovely: London’s teens need to undergo exorcisms!

Brynne Larson, along with sisters Tess and Savannah Scherkenback, are the subjects of a recent documentary by Charlet Duboc of Vice. She followed the trio, along with Brynne’s daddy, Bob Larson (who we shall get to in a bit), through the Ukraine, documenting the “exorcisms” they performed. Now the team has descended upon London, a city which, according to Savannah, is a hotbed of occult activity:
“It has been centuries in the making, but I believe it came to a pinnacle with the Harry Potter books.” “The spells you are reading about are not made up,” adds Tess. “They are real and come from witchcraft.Pardon me a brief facepalm. It amazes me that some people can’t tell fiction from fact. Maybe it’s a kind of wish-fulfillment or hysterical blindness, I don’t know. What I do know is that the spells in the Harry Potter books are make-believe. J.K. Rowling has explained this on many occasions. Trust me, witches can’t wave a wand, say a word and *poof* – if we could, I would be living in a big house in Hawai’i with a view of the Kona Coast and a billion dollars in the bank.

From my friend Steph at the Moral Outrage Blog, "FYI: If You're Blogging About How Other People Should Portray Themselves on Social Media
There is an article going around on social media about how girls should portray themselves on Facebook, you've probably seen it. My friend Steph who does the "Moral Outrage" blog has a great response and I'd like to share her blog post with you.
First of all, it's mildly weird and creepy that you, lady, and your husband, are going through facebook photos of people you aren't facebook friends with. When the photos are public, we refer to that as as 'creeping' or 'photo stalking'. And it's something people do but it's a little weird. If you're doing it by logging into someone else's account or looking over their shoulder, and they are photos you normally wouldn't be able to see due to privacy settings, it's even creepier"
"From the Article," This article about how girls should handle themselves on social media has been going around, and I read a response to it this morning- actually, before I read the actual article- that had some good thoughts, but I wanted to try to put my own thoughts and words down about it.
