CandidRadio w/Zman & Littleflurry, what happens when 2 creatively outspoken liberals try to find their way in an uptight ultra-conservative town located in rural IL. Think small town with a church every other block meets George Carlin but with more jokes.

Remembering A Few Cubs Fans In My Life Who Are No Longer With us
Posted by Zman
I am watching the game now. heard most of it before work last night on the radio. Out of all the game sevens I have seen, it was the best one so far. I can't put in to words how happy I am that the #Cubs are World Series Champions. It still seems like a dream. I am also thinking about a few Cubs fans that have passed away First, our neighbor Louie who passed away almost a year ago. He was as big a Cub fan as I am. I would go outside to take out the trash or do something in the yard and the next think I knew we were on his porch, on our third or forth beer either listening to a game or talking Cubs baseball. I wish he were still here to see this. Also my Grandmother on my dads side who took me to several Cubs games every year from 85-90 for my birthday. She was a dire hard Cubs fan and we would also talk Cubs baseball for hours. My wife Jennifer's grandfather who I bonded with over our love for baseball and the Cubs. Even though he lived near Kansas City he was able to watch all the Cubs games on WGN TV for years. Jenn and I went there on several vacations and yes we took in a few royals games too, and he and I would sit at the kitchen table, he would ave the TV on his bedroom and the TV would also be on in the living room with the same game going on both TV's turned up loud enough so we could hear it and still talk to each other. Between the Cubs, The Royals or whatever game was on ESPN it seemed we always had a game on but The Cubs game always took priority over who ever else was playing. If he were still alive he'd be thrilled to see this moment. I'm sure most of us have at least one relative or friend who was a Cubs fan that we are thinking about as we enjoy this historic moment in baseball. that ended with a game seven that will probably go down in history as one of the greatest game sevens of all time. These are just a few of the Cubs fans in my life who have passed away.
Congratulations to the Cubs on winning the 2016 world Series and thanks to both the Cubs and Cleveland Indians for giving us a memorable series and an awesome game seven.
