The All Night 80s Party With Zman from The Launch Day for Magic 109 Radio Friday August 24, 2018 (show is in three parts)
last Friday, August 24th was the launch of Magic 109 Radio. and to celebrate this occasion I brought back The All Night 80's Party to help celebrate the launch. due to the fact the show was 13 hours in length, I decided to share the archive so everyone could have a chance to enjoy the whole show. Friday is launch day here at Magic 109 and I’ll be keeping the celebration going all night long with The All Night 80’s Party starting at 11 PM EDT and going non stop until Noon EDT on Saturday, August 25th. I’ll be playing a bunch of your favorites plus rare tracks, I’ll play everything from Rock, Pop, Dance, Alternative, new wave, hair bands. I’ll also have an hour or so of the weirder songs of the 80’s where I’ll play some strange hits and novelty songs. I’ll also have some 80’s stand up comedy and a few other features. Plus I’ll talk about all kinds of 80’s subjects, movies, TV, predictions about the future made back in the 80’s, Growing up in the 80’s and a whole lot more. I’ll also take your requests. Littleflurry will also be on the show throughout the night. It's another week of Mellow Rock on The Retro Arcade. Some Big News for Candidradio Live & The Retro Arcade
Hello, we hope you are all having a great summer (or great winter if you're in the Southern hemisphere) If you have not seen the announcements on our other social media platforms, Candidradio Live will be leaving Panoramic Radio at the end of July and joining the new Magic 109 when the station launches on Friday, August 24th at noon Eastern time. We will be posting shows to our mixcloud channel. As of right now when we join Magic 109 Candidradio Live will air from 7PM - 10 PM on Tuesday evenings. The Retro Arcade will also be joining Magic 109 and will air Thursdays from 7 - 10 PM Eastern time. with archives posted to mixcloud. If there are any changes we will let you all know.
Also, you can follow our new twitter feed for both shows @CandidradioLive You will find show posts, music and artist info, and other music related info plus some classic TV clips and radio stuff that will be of interest to The Retro Arcade listeners and anyone who likes TV and Radio history. Rural Illinois Man Calls Police To Complain About The Quality Of Meth He Bought From A Drug Dealer
This genius was unhappy with the quality of drugs he bought from a Drug dealer so he called the police.

"PUBLIC NOTICE: If you believe you were sold bad drugs, we are offering a free service to test them for you.
Douglas Peter Kelly, 49, of Hawthorne, found himself in a situation where he thought someone sold him the wrong illegal narcotic.
On Tuesday, Kelly contacted the sheriff’s office and said he purchased methamphetamine about a week earlier and had a “bad reaction” after smoking the narcotic.
The suspect said he believed because of the “violent reaction” he had after smoking the drug, he was sold the wrong narcotic. Kelly told detectives in the Drug unit he wanted the substance tested because he wanted to “press charges” on the person who sold him the wrong narcotic.
In an effort to ensure the quality of the drug the suspect purchased, detectives told Kelly if he came to the sheriff’s office they could test the narcotic he purchased.
Kelly drove to the sheriff’s office and handed detectives a clear, crystal-like substance wrapped in aluminum foil.
The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine, the drug Kelly intended to purchase.
Kelly was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine. He was walked to the Putnam County Jail and held on $5,000 bond.
Remember, our detectives are always ready to assist anyone who believes they were misled in their illegal drug purchase."

Time for another flashback show. This time we turn back the clock to Monday, August 10, 2015, when our friend Rich AKA Nintendo Freak and his then fiance (Now wife) Dawn visited the Candidradio Live studios. This particular show aired on Thunderstruck 2014 (has since gone dark) and I had already planned to fill in for my close friend Just Jo. on her show Just Jo's Jukebox. So I asked Nintendo Freak if he would like to be on the show too and we had a lot of fun. We have known Rich for a long time and we share the story of how we all met, along with all kinds of other fun stuff. We hope you enjoy the show.

This broadcast originally aired on WSNS TV 44 Chicago which at the time was the television home of the Chicago White Sox and was an Independent station. This was right before the station started carrying ON TV subscription Television. The broadcast features Jimmy Pearsall and Harry Carey with the call of the game which was scheduled to be game one of a doubleheader, game two was forfeited due to the damage was done when fans stormed the field after the disco records were blown up It includes the game broadcast, the Disco Demolition coverage, and the aftermath.

Relax, The World Will Not End When Analog Clocks Are Removed From Schools

I think people are overreacting a bit over this whole schools removing old analog clocks. Things progress. and change. old technology becomes obsolete. I think my friend Steph puts it into perspective. The world will not end if we don't have old-fashioned clocks. I will not be the downfall of society when these clocks are removed. kids are not going to suddenly become ax murderers and destroy the fabric of society when these clocks are removed. Life will go on and it will all be OK. How mah people ever have these kinds of clocks. We have one that has never been changed for daylight saving time and we never look at it. People really need to stop panicking over the types of clocks in a school. the world did not end when people stopped using washboards and started using washing machines and started taking a bath in a tub instead of the local creek. Maybe we should be more concerned about the education our kids are getting in school then what kind of clock they are using to be sure they get to the next class on time.

Introducing The Retro Flashback (yes I know, a redundant title) to our Mixcloud Channel
We have a new show on our mix cloud channel. Once a month Join me for The Retro Flashback. About four hours of music from the late 70's 80's and early 90's. Pretty much an expanded version of the former 80's Flashback. I'll be playing music from many musical genres including Rock, Pop, Hair Bands, Electronic, New Wave, Alternative, Disco, Dance, and even some comedy. Plus share a lot of great memories.
