THE SHOPPING TRIP

A woman was in town on a shopping trip. She found the most perfect shoes in the first shop,and a beautiful dress in the second. In the third everything had just been reduced 50 percent, when her mobile phone rang.

It was a female doctor notifying her that her husband had just been in a terrible car accident and was in a critical condition and was in the ICU. The woman told the doctor to tell her husband that she'd be there as soon as possible. When she hung up she realized she was leaving what was shaping up to be her best day ever shopping in these boutiques, so she decided to just look in two or three more before heading to the hospital.

Anyhow she ended up shopping the rest of the morning, finishing her trip with a cup of coffee and a beautiful chocolate cake compliments of the last shop. She was jubilant. Then she remembered her husband. Feeling guilty, she dashed to the hospital. She saw the doctor in the corridor and asked about her husband's condition. The lady doctor glared at her and shouted, 'You went ahead and finished your shopping trip didn't you! I hope you're proud of yourself! While you were out for the past four hours enjoying yourself shopping, your husband has been languishing in the Intensive Care Unit! It's just as well you went ahead and finished, because it's likely be the last shopping trip you will ever make!

For the rest of his life he will require round the clock care. And he will now be your responsibility!'

The woman felt so guilty she broke down and cried.

The lady doctor then laughed and said, 'I'm just pulling your leg. He's dead. Show me what you bought.'

Nice to see some positive Holiday News!!!!

I remember when I worked for a automotive parts company that used to be based in Chicago. They sold the company when they move out to central IL and gave us all Holiday bonuses when they sold the company. Biggest paycheck I have ever seen. It was such a shock. Don't see that much anymore.

As someone who does not like cell phone contracts, I feel those cell phone companies (At&t mostly) should provide pay as you go smart phones such as BlackBerry or iPhones to their customers who do not wish to sign their years away. Why should we have to sign a multi year contract to have the latest technology? Why do they think we only want crappy phones that can only call but with no bluetooth support or 3G or edge technology?

Just quite a bit going on with me working two jobs almost 72 hours per week and littleflurry working four ten hour days we have not had much time to record a show. The good news is we have plenty of material lined up so when we finally do get a show done it will be one that is well worth the wait. We will HOPEFULLY get a show done sometime this week, maybe on Saturday. But again, we are still doing shows. We are just not doing them as frequently as we were before do to my working 72 hours per week.

There are 1000's of beautiful dogs at petfinder.com in your area who need homes? We have adopted 3 gorgeous dogs from shelters. 2 of them live with us now. We paid 125.00 adoption fees for our first dog from a Seneca, IL shelter. We have paid 150.00 for each of our dogs we have now. That included their shots, microchips, vet exams and more. I walked in our local mall Friday night and to my horror, a pet shop there sells puppies who have been man handled by the public all day long. On top of that, the puppies are sold for $800.00 and up and up and up..... If you are a true dog lover as I am, seeing the dogs at your local shelter will break your heart. Oklahoma State rep Sally Kern went on a homophobic hate filled tirade a few days ago and did not realize she was being recorded. It should scare anyone that this hate filled uninformed person is a member of congress. Watch the video below. I don't know where she got her info but she proves that she is very uninformed.
